A Thousand Words

A KE Sponsored Expedition to Kanchenjunga

KE Adventure have recently sponsored an expedition to find the spot on the side of Kangchenjunga where, in 1899, Vittorio Sella took the first known photograph of Everest and to recreate that shot 125 years later. The expedition, led by Matt Sharman, will be documented in the film "A Thousand Words", which will premier at the Kendal Mountain Festival in 2025 and will subsequently be available to watch as part of the Kendal Mountain Festival world tour and on the KMF Player app. Below you can see the incredible image that Sella took and you can find out more about the expedition here.

While the film is yet to be released it's sure to give an incredible insight into the wonders of trekking into the Kangchenjunga valley, a wild, remote region of the Himalayas.
