Well organised trip
Balkan Trilogy Road Cycle Tour

Well organised trip in a great location, great communication, excellent accommodations & food, awesome guides. Our guide Alex was awesome! He was attentive to all our needs, always calm and thinking ahead. He has a relaxed manner and great sense of humour. He was informative and very professional. The whole group loved him.

The incredible Incas
Choquequirao to Machu Picchu
What an amazing trek. We had the most wonderful, enthusiastic and caring guide ‘Rudy’. He’s a terrific asset to KE. His knowledge and positivity was truly inspirational. The chefs and kitchen staff, horsemen and lovely Joie who acted as a back marker on the trek all worked tirelessly to ensure we all had a wonderful experience. The trek was superb and full of contrasts from the mountain peaks to the flowing river there was spectacular scenery all around. Once we saw the first terraces of ... the Inca sites it was overwhelming. The whole experience was thoroughly enjoyable. We were very fortunate to have a magnificent group of trekking companions too. A very special holiday.

A wonderful island perfect for trekking
Walking Around Madeira
Madeira is a small island, but perfect for a week's trekking around the cliffs, forests, mountains and levada's. The hotels were all perfectly located and of a good standard. The taxis and luggage transport was very efficient and the walking app certainly made life a lot easier. Madeira was much more lush and green than I expected, even though we had no rain during the 8 day trip. A wide range of food is available with the emphasis on fish! Weather was perfect for trekking in September, low ... 20's during the day and a little hotter in Funchal. Would definitely recommend.

An unforgettable experience at an affordable price
One Week Mount Toubkal Trek

KE provided a very well organised package, everything included, very experienced guides and their hard working team. The guides were exceptional! They managed the itinerary with immense skill and flexibility, and with great humour and friendliness even though we were a group of diverse abilities. Younes is an immensely skilled guide, he led an amazing team with confidence that inspired us all. That I achieved what I did on this trek is very much all thanks to Younes.

This Will Go Down as One of My Favorites
Baltic Trails Adventure
A great holiday. I have to say up front that a big part of my enjoyment was the company. Our guide, Rita, was just superb. Super knowledgeable and articulate. Leading while integrating seamlessly with the group. Leslie, with KE's travel office, was also with us. She was such great fun. Being based in the US, I have never had the opportunity to use Leslie's services, but I would strongly recommend her to UK customers. She knows her business inside and out, and clearly enjoys helping ... others.

As for the itinerary, it is diverse and busy, but not physically demanding. The exception to the last is that there is some beach and dune walking which some of our party found difficult. However, in some cases there are options to avoid walking in the sand. Among the highlights, touring the three capital cities stands out. Special thanks to Rita for arranging an unscheduled tour of Tallinn at the end of the tour. I recommend that the Tallinn tour become a regularly scheduled part of the itinerary. Of the nature walks, the two in Lahemaa National Park on the last day spoke to me the most, providing a great finale to the sojourn. Overall the tour provided a good opportunity to learn about the fascinating and often tragic history of the region while experiencing some of its peculiarities (e.g., the Curonian Spit, the Hill of Crosses and amber collecting) and its agreeable cuisine. I was also very happy with the choice of accommodations.

Rewarding
Choquequirao to Machu Picchu
This is a great tek led by Rudy the guide for this trip, he was so good at educating us on the history and customs of the Incas and generally being a great guide, he was assisted also by Joey who always made sure that we were safe on the trails. The walking on several days was tough but with a bit of grit and determination it's doable for regular walkers. Campsites on most days were located in scenic spots with a toilet and mostly with a shower, although some were very basic, and the tents were ... spacious and in very good condition. As for food we were amazed at the quality that was served consistently by the two chefs (in whites) assisted by two kitchen staff all very friendly, also hygiene was followed scrupously with soap and water by the mess tent and hand sanitizers on the dining table. The day's get continuously better as the trek progresses all the way up to Machhu Picchu, and though we had walked all day, the train wasn't running when we got there hence having to walk along the railway line for two hours to Aguas Calientes, we still enjoyed the extra hike. This is a tough trek hence the 8 rating, but in my opinion it has to be one of the best all round operated by KE.

Kilimanjaro Northern Route
Kilimanjaro Northern Route Traverse and Circuit

We had a great trip to climb Kilimanjaro and KE were incredibly supportive and responsive throughout - from helping ensure the gluten free dietary requirements of one of our group were catered for to rearranging flights to Zanzibar at our request to ensure we maximised our time on the island. Our guide Onex was simply superb. He was responsive to all our needs, immensely supportive, motivating, security and safety conscious and his team of porters, guides and cooks were magnificent.

Once in a lifetime experience
The Druk Path Trek
A really fabulous adventure that has awakened a desire for more adventurous travel in us all. An excellent trip for young adults and aging parents alike!! Bhutan will never be cheap, but, compared to other adventurous trips we have taken, I think the cost was fair enough. Really nice that everything bar drinks with meals and spending money is included. Our guide Yeshi what a star. He really made the holiday. Friendly, approachable, funny, very knowledgable, appropriately concerned when 2 of us ... felt the effects of the altitude - we are both doctors but really trusted his judgement. We couldn't fault him at all, truly an excellent guide

Walking Wild Tuscany

Jamie and Ailsa are outstanding hosts and lovely people. Pretty much perfect, with lots of walking, and a chance to visit local villages afterwards and Lucca on our day off. Beautiful setting. Lovely old farmhouse, which has been lovingly and sympathetically restored, with spacious rooms and fine views. Great food every day.

Good organisation. Excellent guide
GR20 Corsica - The Complete Route
[Our guide Paulin] The star of the trip. Helpful, caring, aware, always adjusting to give us the best experience and chance of success.

In terms of preparation before hand, the background of the participants makes a lot of difference. We had several trail runners in the group who had the stamina but much less ability over technical ground and therefore were much slower. While Crib Goch and Sharp Edge are great preparation even more important is ability over very rough ground so for example
... the boulder field below the top of Tryfan, the top bit of the Miners track on Snowden, the descent from Lliwedd coming off the Snowden horseshoe or even climbing the rocks and boulders at the back of a beach. Often it was the descent that people found difficult.

But overall great trip, delightful bunch of people, well organised and Paulin was excellent. Thank you.

A wonderful holiday in a beautiful country.
Temples and Tea Trails of Sri Lanka
What can be said about Sri Lanka, than just simply wow? Firstly our guide Gayan was the loveliest man I've ever met, passionate about his country, his culture, hard working (we never waited for our transport and he always had two or three options for extra activities) and we particularly enjoyed his wild stories of ancient Sri Lanka! So the highlights? That's a long list, the cultural triangle of Stupas, carved Buddhas, the breathtaking Lion Rock, seeing a leopard on Safari and topping it off ... with the Dambulla Cave Temples which were astonishing and the Arts and Crafts and cultural capital which is Kandy. Then up into the jungle for a few nights, tropical fruits and spices all with the background noise of monkeys, birds and frogs - the Eco Lodge was a highlight as was the superb cooking demonstration in a traditional kitchen. After that a bit of a downer with a less than satisfactory climb of Adam's Peak in the dark, honestly this should be dropped from the itinerary but we were compensated with a superb High Tea afterwards in the stunning Grand Hotel. Then onto Horton Plains and the beautiful walk to Worlds End, Tea Plantation factory visit and a walk through Tea Country topped off with probably the most stunning Train trip in the world and Elephants galore at another Safari.

Cannot recommend this trip highly enough, Sri Lanka is a very chill, very beautiful country full of wonderful sights, experiences and people. 5 stars.

Well organised
GR20 Corsica - The Complete Route
Hard to think of any ways it could be improved. Well organised, good communication and swift responses to queries pre trip. The itinerary - It was tough! Lovely to have swims in the rivers. Our guide Paulin - Really would like to score 11/10. Felt Paulin really looked after us well- felt very safe. His love of Corsica, the plants, animals, insects, birds, mountain way of life made us appreciate the landscape even more. Gave some good tips on moving quickly over the terrain. Food - Impressed by ... the vegetarian options!. Corsican cheese in the mountains tasted SO good. Plenty of food. Basic but good.

Trek of a lifetime
GR20 Corsica - The Complete Route
This was the trek of a lifetime for me. Its success flowed from Paulin's leadership and the individuals within a well balanced group. I would book with KE again.

Whilst challenging, the GR20 was an exciting and enjoyable experience; all I could have wished for. So much of its success was due to our guide. Paulin's expert knowledge, tutoring, team building building skills, meticulous planning and energy created the conditions for a perfect trek.

The grading was accurate. Description of the
... refuges might have been better. The itinerary was very good, especially the adjustments offered by Paulin in response to opportunity and weather. It was a delight to be given such good quality fresh food. Catering at the refuges was a revaluation!

Turkish Delight – Cycling in Cappadocia
I really enjoyed it. The scenery far exceeded my expectations. I never got tired of looking at the various rock formations. This was my first visit to Turkey, and certainly won't be my last. The Turkish people were friendly and the food was outstanding.

Faruk was a rock star! We were treated to a history lesson every day with him. He is extremely knowledgeable on many subjects and I really enjoyed talking to him. He took good care of us on the trails and made adjustments for those of us who
... did not want to undertake some of the more challenging terrain. I would highly recommend him to anybody travelling to Turkey. A great guy!

I usually lose weight on these trips. I actually gained weight on this one. The dinners were outstanding with numerous starters and sauces and great bread to dip in the sauces. Plenty of lamb, chicken and beef and fresh vegetables. I really liked the food.

I feel that KE offers good value for the money. That is one reason why I keep booking with you.

Been very happy with each of the KE trips I have taken. Great guide and a first class chap. Extremely knowledgeable and managed our trip fantastically. Nothing too much trouble and his relationships with the refuge owners and hotels was invaluable.

All in all it was a lovely experience and lived up to our expectations
Walking in Catalonia
We wanted a coastal path walk and we weren't disappointed. The terrain was rugged, but we were able to dip our feet in the Med during the day to cool off. Most of the routes passed through little resorts, beaches and harbours which broke up the day. The evening coastal village locations were lovely and there was always somewhere to eat out. Collioure is beautiful and we could have spent more time there exploring but due to transport issues we got there later than we had expected. Cadaques is ... also wonderful and the extra day there was well worth it.
