An update from Ecuador

On the ground in Quito

Following the strong earthquake that struck on the 16 April, we are able to report that our partners in Ecuador are safe and that none of our holidays have been affected. Our local agent in Quito says "life continues as normal and visitors can feel confident that their holiday will not be impacted".

The epicentre of the quake was in the north-west of the country, near the coastal town of Pedernales. The coastal provinces of Manabi and Esmeraldas suffered the greatest damage. The Amazon, Andes and Galapagos - the only areas visited by KE clients - were unaffected. All airports, accommodation, tour operation and ground transport are fully operational
