Your Favourite Adventures in July

Every month, we love reading your reviews and hearing about the moments that made your adventures unforgettable. From your July feedback it's clear this month belongs to Europe. With long summer days stretching well into the evening and the continent's mountain trails in full bloom, it's the month that brings out the best of alpine walking and, for those with fire in their legs, some seriously impressive trail running too. As we read through the reviews and stories shared with us this month, a clear theme emerged.

So, counting down from five to one, here are the trips our travellers couldn't stop talking about in July…

5. Trekking the Ridges & Summits of Bulgaria

Trek through two of Bulgaria's wild and rugged mountain ranges, summiting four of the country's highest peaks while crossing knife-edge ridges and passing atmospheric glacial lakes with near-black waters.

Amazing trip, exceeded expectations.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A fantastic trip. Wonderful walking with a few challenges thrown in. A bit of rock hopping, scrambling and crossing snow. The food and accommodation are great staying in a mixture of towns and remote locations. Maya is a fantastic guide so you'll learn a lot about Bulgaria, its people, food and wildlife. The trip scratches the surface of an amazing place to explore.

Bulgaria mountains

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A well planned and organised holiday that allowed us not only to climb the highest mountains but see some of the country and culture. I was very satisfied with this trip and previous adventures with KE.

4. Chamonix Classic Running Trails

Run sections of the legendary UTMB and other iconic alpine trails from the beautiful mountain town of Chamonix, returning each day to soothe tired legs in the hotel pool and spa.

Inspirational trip to Chamonix

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The structure of the trip was excellent. Kris really adapted things to the group's abilities and managed to keep everyone together even though there were various levels of experience and capabilities. Overall I could decide how hard I wanted to push myself. The routes built nicely in difficulty level (and in terms of scenery) over the course of the holiday. The last day was a fantastic way to end the trip with a downhill run into Chamonix along the last part of the UTMB. Would definitely use KE again and would certainly return to Chamonix.

3. Tour de Monte Rosa

Complete this breathtaking hut-to-hut circuit around Switzerland's highest mountain: an undiscovered gem of alpine trekking with spectacular views at every turn.

I love to wake up and walk to a new destination in the mountains.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great destination, guide, accommodation and people in small group. Any questions were answered by email by return and I was able to talk to an employee who had completed the trip at the time of my booking. Loved the huts in the mountains particularly - all staff everywhere were friendly and helpful.

Amazing small group trip

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

An excellent varied challenging trek high up in the Alps on the Swiss/Italian border. Be prepared for some high altitudes 3300 metres and some compact dormitory accommodation. You will be rewarded after some long days and big ascents and descents with wonderful scenery. No technical walking challenges.

2. Kungsleden Trek - The Kings Trail of Sweden

Trek through Swedish Lapland and climb its highest peak on one of Europe's wildest and most remote long-distance hikes, where reindeer roam freely and tracks of bears, lynx and wolverines tell the story of this untamed landscape.

A big adventure.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A challenging, fun achievement. Seamless from the flight to the arrival each day. The two staff were superb and worked hard to keep us organised.

Excellent trip

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great meal planning, lots of people in my age group, terrific low tech huts and saunas, fantastic guides. A must do.

1. Fjords and Fjells of the Lofoten Islands

Discover the enchanting Lofoten Islands, where dramatic granite peaks rise from crystal-clear waters and sleepy red fishing huts bring colour to one of Norway's most breathtaking landscapes.

Fabulous scenery and treks

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A fabulous trip. Accommodation was very comfortable (hot showers much appreciated). Leader Flo did everything he could to make the trip a success, even if the weather was not quite what we hoped for. Transport worked well, and the scenery and variety is fantastic. A very enjoyable and challenging trek. Thoroughly recommend it.

The scenery in Lofoten is as good as I have witnessed anywhere

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Up there with the most stunning scenery I have witnessed and our guide was brilliant.
