KE feedback and reviews

We promise to PUBLISH EVERY REVIEW and read every feedback form in detail so that we can constantly make improvements to our holidays. If we don’t, we’ll send you a case of wine! Hearing about your experiences, both good and bad, helps us make sure our holidays are the good as they can get.

It's easy to add an online review or send us feedback when you return from your holiday as we'll send you an email with a link. Alternatively you can simply log in to your MyKE account and click on the 'My Contributions' tab. You can then choose to leave a review, feedback, add photos or video or even post a blog.

You can be assured that every form you submit will be read and any points raised are discussed and action taken by the KE team, associated agents and leaders. At the end of every year we randomly select a winner from everyone who posts a KE website online review with the fantastic prize of an ipad mini. We also randomly select a winner from everyone who completes a feedback form (these are not published) with a £250 credit voucher as the prize.

Sail Island out of the fog, now you are a ship with peaks as mast trees. You head out with mountains far out on a world journey” - poetry by Christian Matras from the collection of Faroese poems.

Fresh Air, wind, high mountains, fascinating fog & breathtaking views are certainly a few of the things I experienced on my first trip to the Faroe Islands.

From Mountains to Momos - A food journey to Everest

Written by  Gemma Waterworth - Customer Sales and Support

A trip to Nepal should be high on the bucket list of any adventure traveller and is certainly a must for anyone working within the travel industry. So, when I found out that I would be making the amazing journey to Everest Basecamp, I was over the moon. For me though, the journey would not just be about the amazing trekking, the towering peaks of the Himalaya or the local people that I would encounter along the way, for me it would also be about the food.

Mukot Peak, 6087m, Lower Dolpo Nepal October 2015

Mukot Peak, 6087m, Lower Dolpo Nepal October 2015

I was thinking that it had been quite some time since I thought I had made a first ascent of a Himalayan peak. In fact it was way back in 1979 and I say thought I had made a first ascent because unless someone builds a cairn, sticks a flag on it or writes about it somewhere, you just never know whether you are really the first. I’m not sure that it matters all that much anyway, it’s not a competition.

It's 8:09am on our fourth trekking day in the High Atlas. Just over an hour earlier our Berber guide, Hassan, had reminded us of the day's goal: to reach the Neltner Refuge, aka 'Toubkal base camp', from where we'd make our summit the day after. As the valley shadow receded, we all sensed it would be another day of gorgeous mountain panoramas, rewarding trails, energising Moroccan sunshine and clear azure skies. Everything we'd come to expect and more. So why remember this exact time?

On the ground in Quito

Following the strong earthquake that struck on the 16 April, we are able to report that our partners in Ecuador are safe and that none of our holidays have been affected. Our local agent in Quito says "life continues as normal and visitors can feel confident that their holiday will not be impacted".

The epicentre of the quake was in the north-west of the country, near the coastal town of Pedernales. The coastal provinces of Manabi and Esmeraldas suffered the greatest damage. The Amazon, Andes and Galapagos - the only areas visited by KE clients - were unaffected. All airports, accommodation, tour operation and ground transport are fully operational
