Great personal service from staff who understand the trips
Across the High Atlas Trek

Wonderful country to visit, the trip was tough, but had many highlights - colourful landscape, silence of the wilderness, passing through remote Berber communities, some remote campsites, ascents of M'gon and Toubkal

An outstanding trip, the itinerary was perfect and the grading spot on.
Across the High Atlas Trek
One of the best treks I have ever been on. It fulfilled all my dreams and expectations, crossing the High Atlas had been on my bucket list for decades and finally I had this wonderful opportunity. My first KE trip was in 1999, when I joined The Great Karakorum Traverse, which I see you now no longer offer. I followed that with Aconcagua and the Cordillera Huayhuash in later years, however I hadn't travelled with you since 2004. I was relieved to find that your pre-departure comms, and the way ... in which the trip was run was still of a very high quality, and I am very pleased that I decided to choose KE again after a break of 20 years!

Well organized, knowledgeable guides, safe traveling on some unusual routes
Across the High Atlas Trek

I loved the trip and despite it being really hard I would recommend to all my hiking friends. It was a really interesting adventure. Our guide Mohamed Rezki really took good care of us and his leadership was excellent. He had a great relationship with the muleteers also and everything went smoothly and we had a lot of fun.

Very well run trip and we will be booking again with KE
High Tatras Trekking - The Carpathian Mountains

We have had 3 trips now with KE and they all have been well run, organized and good value. Excellent guide. Very well informed and we felt very safe with his decision making.

An interesting adventure
Icefjords and Remote Villages of East Greenland
This trip is for those who are strong, able walkers. Granite scree and boulder fields make for long, tough ascents and walks need good balance. You must be able to adapt to very basic and sometimes unhygienic, unmanaged accommodation. The decline in innuit culture is obvious, but non the less interesting to witness. Boat transfers across fjords are thrilling and scenery spectacular. The boat trip where we saw a sperm whale was definitely a highlight. We were blessed with good weather but ... things could be pretty bleak here if not. Overall, an interesting trip and to my surprise, with a (great) group of French speaking clients. I was the only client from KE so my French quickly improved! If you couldn’t speak any French this could have been a very long two weeks!

Successful trip
Cycling Amsterdam to Bruges
The trip was extremely well organised and more or less went without a hitch. Being self guided felt we had been given all the tools we needed to have a successful trip - bikes, maps , luggage transfer, good accommodation with helpful staff and useful information and ideas of places to visit. A bit daunted by the size of the navigation/ route notes but impressed by the amount of information the booklet contained. It was useful to have the numbers on a separate page. Great to have the app too. ... Only problem was that it was heavy on the phone battery. Wished we'd brought a power pack with us !!

High Tatras
High Tatras Trekking - The Carpathian Mountains

Top class service on the two times I have used KE. [Our guide] did a great job on guiding - was informative and had a great sense of humour.

Efficiently organised
High Tatras Trekking - The Carpathian Mountains

KE and Jakub made it very easy to explore the High Tatras with an interesting itinerary that would be difficult for an independent solo traveller to organise. Plenty of good food and more comfortable accommodation than expected.

A nicely varied trip
Mount Ararat - Turkey's Sacred Summit

A nicely varied trip, with cultural and relaxation opportunities as well as climbing the mountain. The summit day is a big day, but otherwise the exercise is manageable. Ibrahim was outstanding. He was a mine of information on cultural and historical matters, a very likeable man with an excellent sense of humour, and was always attentive to the needs of the group.

Well thought out, and flexible self-guided trip
Walking in the Azores

I enjoyed the Azores trip and will certainly consider future travel plans to include KE as a partner. It is nice to be somewhere where you don't outnumber or overwhelm either the local residents or the places you are visiting.

Great itinerary
Fjords and Fjells of the Lofoten Islands

The lofoten trip was well organised, had a great itinerary and was well led. [Our guide was] wonderful in every way - friendly, professional manner, knowledgable, watched out for individual needs of group
members super organised. Delicious home cooking by our tour leader giving us an experience of Norwegian food.

Excellent customer service, a great range of trips, and excellent in-country team
Choquequirao to Machu Picchu

This was excellent. Our guide, Rudy Arqque, was really well informed and passionate about his country and very positive in attitude. The grading was pretty accurate-this was a challenging trek with big ascents and descents, but we also had time to enjoy the Inca sites in depth.

Brilliant trip
Traverse of the Jotunheimen

Brilliant trip hiking through a variety of stunning scenery (everything from glacier and boulder fields through to grassy valleys and forests), all of it led by our excellent guide Richard. Two tips: 1) make the effort to climb Kyrkja, the views are fantastic, and 2) the drying rooms at the huts were very good so take some washing powder for hand washing clothes.

The trip was fantastic in every respect
Choquequirao to Machu Picchu
I have now been on 3 KE trips and all have been exceptionally planned and executed. The trip leaders and other support personnel have been excellent. The trip was fantastic in every respect, the route, the sites, the degree of difficulty, the teamwork. The flora, fauna, history, cultural immersion. Our guide Rudy was exceptional in every respect. Very good English language skills. Full of energy. He held one very special offering to the mountain gods on our last walking day which for most ... people there, was very moving. It would be fair to say that Rudy made the trip extremely special for everyone!

KE have always given us a fantastic experience with knowledgeable and helpful guides
Choquequirao to Machu Picchu
The trip was challenging, but fantastic. We really appreciated being so remote, and meeting local people along the way. Choquequirao was amazing and we really appreciated being there with so few visitors. We felt extremely privileged to be camping on Incan terraces. Rudy was an amazing guide. He managed the team well and with good humour. His knowledge of the physical, historical, cultural and indiginous aspects of our trip was fantastic. He managed issues (train strikes at Agua Calientes) well ... and informed us well in advance. He gave us much more than was expected, and was a massive part of the enjoyment of the trip. His assistant Yoe was also an important member of the team, always there when needed with a happy smile.

Good service from booking to return flight
Choquequirao to Machu Picchu
Our guide Rudy (and Joey) turned a trek into an unforgettable experience! His knowledge about the places and people from his Incan heritage brought so much to life, delivered with an enthusiasm that never diminished. He rapidly built a team ethic in both us and the team of chefs, muleteers and helpers and we all felt like a big family very quickly. He adeptly dealt with the local unscheduled protests and our extra 10km of walking prior to MP. I doubt we will ever experience a better informed, ... passionate guide anywhere!

Excellent trip, well organised, wonderful guide loved the Picos
Traverse of the Picos de Europa

The itinery was well planned and really enjoyed all the walks. Scenery was amazing. Bruno was a wonderful guide, sharing all his knowledge of the Picos. He looked after the group well, offered guidance when needed. I felt very safe. He made sure everything went to plan. I couldn't have asked for more, thank you Bruno!

Walking in Germany’s Black Forest

The booking experience was very easy. Any questions I had were answered satisfactorily. The process was smooth and straightforward and the level of interaction was perfect. I wasn't bombarded with loads of emails and things to do. All relevant info arrived as and when informed. No complaints whatsoever. Very happy with our holiday and overall experience.

Fantastic holiday. Great walking, great guide, great team.
Choquequirao to Machu Picchu

Our guide Rudy was brilliant. He clearly has a passion for the history of the Incas and of Peru. He shared with us knowledge passed to him by his grandfather, which made for a very special experience. He was kind and helpful throughout the trip. Marco and Diego, our trek chefs, produced delicious food three times every day, often in very primitive facilities. Great work!

Well organized trips to interesting locations at a reasonable price
Trek the High Taurus Mountains and Cappadocia

Our guide Tolga is possibly the best tour leader I have ever had. He's a walking wikipedia on almost any subject. Wildlife, geology, culture, history... Very friendly, helpful. Speaks very good English.
