Gondogoro Peak and the Hushe Valley

We are delighted to reintroduce our exceptional two-week trekking and climbing expedition in the awe-inspiring Karakoram, often considered the world's most spectacular mountain region. Beginning with a thrilling mountain flight to Skardu in Baltistan, our journey unfolds along the Indus and Shyok rivers, leading us to the welcoming village of Khaplu. From there, our path continues to Hushe, nestled deep within the Karakoram Mountains, where our longstanding connection with the community ensures a warm reception, with decades of group visits contributing to vital local projects. Following an acclimatisation period in the dramatic valleys above Hushe, we embark on a trek beside the Gondogoro Glacier, reaching the grassy 'ablation zone' below Gondogoro Peak, known as Huisprung. This site holds historical significance, serving as the basecamp for our inaugural 'trekking peak' expedition in 1986. After establishing our camp with breathtaking reflections of peaks like Laila, we dedicate a day to acclimatisation, honing skills, and practising ropework. The pinnacle of our journey is the ascent of the technically straightforward Gondoro Peak, offering sensational summit views. July in the Karakoram region is marked by the onset of summer, bringing milder temperatures and more stable weather conditions for trekking and climbing enthusiasts. The majestic landscapes become more accessible during this time, offering a window of opportunity for adventurers to explore the awe-inspiring beauty of the Karakoram.



Cycle Saigon to Hanoi - Vietnam South to North

July in Vietnam brings a mix of weather, with northern regions experiencing high temperatures and occasional rainfall, while central and southern areas enjoy warmer, drier conditions. It's an excellent time to explore the cultural richness, scenic landscapes, and vibrant cities. Embark on a cycling adventure through Vietnam, a country boasting a blend of cosmopolitan cities, stunning beaches, forested mountains, and a rich tapestry of modern and ancient history. Cycle across Cat-Ba Island, cruise through Halong Bay's limestone pinnacles, and conclude the adventure with a memorable night in sophisticated Hanoi. 



Tanzania Safari - Maasai Adventure

Embark on a unique Tanzania wildlife safari with with a visit to the captivating Lake Natron, renowned for its multicoloured, alkaline waters that attract breeding flamingos. Led by local Maasai guides, we explore the area beneath the majestic Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano before venturing into the iconic Serengeti via a less-travelled route from Lake Natron, immersing ourselves in the vast plains teeming with classic wildlife, including the renowned wildebeest migration and majestic big cats. Our journey continues to the Ngorongoro Crater, an unparalleled spot for encountering the Big 5 in a uniquely atmospheric setting. As an off-the-beaten-path detour, we visit Lake Eyasi, engaging with the Hadzabe, Tanzania's last hunter-gatherer tribe, and experiencing their traditional way of life, from crafting arrows to archery practice. This safari offers a delightful blend of African wildlife, cultural encounters, and scenic walks around the enchanting Lake Natron, making it an extraordinary adventure. Choquequirao to Machu Picchu

On this two-week trekking adventure, discover the secrets of this abandoned city, rivalling Machu Picchu in size and splendour but offering a more remote and less-visited experience, allowing you to freely explore its evocative ruins and llama-adorned terraces. The journey involves an exhilarating descent and ascent of almost 2000 metres through the awe-inspiring canyon of the Apurimac River to reach Choquequirao (3000m), providing ample time to explore before embarking on a 5-day trek through the rugged Cordillera Vilcabamba, dominated by towering snowy peaks like Pumasillo and Salkantay. Following a former Inca trail linking Choquequirao to Machu Picchu, the trek crosses the Totora Pass (4500m), turns north to descend the Rio Colpa, and passes pristine Andean villages where Quechua inhabitants still wear traditional attire.
